Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have one kicker on the current roster, PK Robbie Gould, who is not attending the team's workout program. The team may look to acquire another kicker, possibly free-agent PK Mike Vanderjagt (Cowboys).

Dallas K Martin Gramatica has not missed a kick in practice since signing with the Cowboys on Monday. It doesn't guarantee success, but coach Bill Parcells said released K Mike Vanderjagt never had a perfect day in practice while with the Cowboys.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that Cowboys coach Bill Parcells could give PK Mike Vanderjagt the hook if he continues to miss field goals. He whiffed on two kicks vs. Indianapolis in Week 11. Parcells said he "would definitely have to" look for a new kicker if Vanderjagt keeps missing field goals. "I'm not saying I'm losing patience, but you have to look at it for what it is," Parcells said. "Right now, it needs to get better."

Baltimore kicker Matt Stover's bid to extend his consecutive field-goal streak came to an abrupt end against Atlanta when his 42-yard attempt strayed left in the first quarter. The miss ended Stover's string at 36, which ranks as the third-longest streak in NFL history behind Mike Vanderjagt's 42 with the Indianapolis Colts between 2002 and 2004 and Gary Anderson's 40 with the San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings between 1997 and 1998. Stover, who hadn't missed a field-goal attempt since Oct. 31, 2005, when a 43-yard try against the Pittsburgh Steelers bounced off the right upright, bounced back with a 29-yard field goal early in the third quarter and is now 17-for-18 this season.

Cowboys K Mike Vanderjagt missed field goal attempts of 43 and 46 yards against his former team, the Colts, in Week 11. Luckily, the Cowboys squeaked out a 21-14 win. Vanderjagt did convert on all three PAT attempts.
