Jacksonville WR Matt Jones is expected to miss most of this week's practices with a moderate ankle sprain. Jones' left foot has been placed in a walking boot as a precaution. He may not be available for Friday's intrasquad scrimmage, head coach Jack Del Rio said. Jones is expected to challenge for a starting wide receiver spot following Jimmy Smith's retirement. He had 36 receptions for 432 yards and five touchdowns in his rookie season last year.

The 37-year-old receiver led the Jags with 70 catches for 1,023 yards and six touchdowns last season. He ranks seventh in NFL history with 862 receptions and 11th in receiving yards.
