Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said he likes how WR Patrick Turner has performed so far during training camp but said Turner has been be more consistent with his play, according to Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "Consistency for Pat is going to be important," Sparano said. "He's starting to play, doing some good things. He's made some good catches with his hands and gone and gotten the ball a few times. But the consistency thing is what I think is probably the most important."

Miami Dolphins WR Patrick Turner could be on the bubble of making the team's final roster, according to Barry Jackson, of the Miami Herald. A teammate said Turner previously had not shown the urgency or work ethic of the other receivers. Two teammates were skeptical about Turner sticking long-term.

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said he hopes to see several improvements in WR Patrick Turner's game next season. "I hope he takes the next jump," Sparano said. "I hope he becomes a little more aggressive with the ball, a little more polished with route running, those kind of things and he uses some of the knowlege [wide receivers coach Karl Dorrell] has given him, some of the wisdom that Karl has given him in the last year from a release standpoint and those type of things."

Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano said rookie WR Patrick Turner impressed him with his ability down the middle of the field. He said he is a big body in the middle and the seam areas. Sparano felt Turner had a better burst and ability to drop his hips on the field than they previously saw on film. "A big guy, being able to drop his hips with his kind of body can create a little bit of separation that way. That might help us," Sparano added.
