Bob McGinn, of The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin said backup QBs Matt Flynn and Brian Brohm remain in a competition for the No. 2 spot. Philbin said the pecking order for the two hasn't been decided yet.

Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, reports Green Bay Packers backup QB Matt Flynn said he was not tentative during Week 4 when he played seven fourth-quarter snaps. He failed to generate a first down and threw two poor passes. "It was just the first time in there. That was a tough situation to be in," Flynn said. He noted if he has to play during Week 5 that he needs to be sharp and play "the best game I've ever played."

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Green Bay Packers are going to give QB Aaron Rodgers (shoulder) 90 minutes before game time to decide if he will play Week 5. The team is prepared to go with QB Matt Flynn at quarterback if Rodgers is unable to play.

Pete Dougherty, of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, reports Green Bay Packers QB Matt Flynn showed scrambling ability and some skill to throw on the run during offseason workouts. However, Flynn is unlikely to be anything more than the team's No. 3 quarterback.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Louisiana State QB Matt Flynn worked out at his school's Pro Day Wednesday, March 26. Flynn ran position drills and kept his numbers from the 2008 NFL Scouting Combine. He measured in at 6-foot-2 and 229 pounds.
