Jason Reid, of The Washington Post, reports Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn said he does not expect QB Joe Flacco to fall all over himself because Zorn was hired and knows he has to earn Flacco's respect. "But I'm not going to presume that I'm going to come in and all of a sudden Joe Flacco is just going to fall all over himself and say, 'Oh, this is great,' " Zorn said. "I've got to earn the right to speak into life, to speak into his game, after I just see what's there."

Aaron Wilson, of the National Football Post, reports Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh acknowledged that QB Joe Flacco's (hip) right hip contusion did have a negative effect. Harbaugh and Flacco had repeatedly said that his hip was not a serious issue. Harbaugh said, “He had a bad contusion on his thigh, on the outside of his thigh and hip area there, and it swelled up legitimately so. I think it was restrictive for him. If any of you guys have had that kind of a serious bruise, you know how much that hurts. You get on a flight, and that’s when swelling starts to happen a little bit more. I think Joe showed some real toughness throughout the last five, six weeks playing through that.”

Jamison Hensley, of The Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco will report to training camp Monday, July 27. Joe Cool will have all eyes on him after a successful rookie season, but the bar will also be raised. "If you're not motivated by yourself at this level, you're not going to be successful," Flacco said. A year ago, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron would stand behind Flacco and tell him the plays. This year, Flacco has been running the no-huddle offense on his own. One of his goals this year is to raise his completion percentage, where he ranked 20th in the league last year. Another focus is throwing over the middle, where he had a 47.4 quarterback rating last season.
