Alex Marvez, of FOXSports.com, reports that according to documents obtained by FOXSports.com, the San Francisco 49ers had five players on their roster that played every single snap during the 2007 season, which was a league high. LB Patrick Willis and CB Nate Clements were the only two players to be on the field for every defensive snap. OT Joe Staley, OG Larry Allen and C Eric Heitmann were the three players on offense to be on the field for every offensive snap.

Mike McAllister, of ESPN.com, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson predicts he will rush for 2,000 yards in the upcoming 2008 season. "Oh, yeah, I set my bar high," he said this week, one of just four rookies (Patrick Willis, Joe Thomas and Nick Folk are the others) appearing in the Pro Bowl. "That's definitely where I'd like to start."

The Niners took Ole Miss LB Patrick Willis with the 11th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Most pundits considered him one of, if not the, best linebacker in college football last year. He ran a 4.51 40-yard dash at the combine with 22 reps on the bench press. He had 137 tackles in his senior season with the Rebels.
