Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he believes QB Brett Favre will return this season after seeing him at the ESPYs, according to Jake Trotter, of The Oklahoman. "I saw him down in L.A. for the first time this offseason, down at the ESPYs. Looking in his eyes, I got the sense he was coming back. I'll be going down to his house, telling him, 'Favre, I need you back,'" Peterson said.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he has worked on his fumbling issues and knows that he has to be more focused while carrying the ball, according to Jake Trotter, of The Oklahoman. "As far as fumbling, that's part of the game. Out there, I'm not tossing the balls to the guys. Some of these guys are making plays, striking the ball. But I know what I have to do as a player to help my team, to accomplish our ultimate goal, and that's to win the NFC North and win a Super Bowl. And that's really staying focused. You know, small things, where I can sharpen up," Peterson said.

Chip Scoggins, of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said he will be working on his fumbling issues this offseason by trying to hold the ball higher. "With my running style, it will be something I’m thinking about as far as practice keeping the ball high. The way I run the ball kind of gets loose. I have to be more conscious of keeping the ball high when I’m going down. Those are some little things I’ll definitely look to correct this offseason," Peterson said.

Ed Werder, of ESPN.com, reports free-agent QB Brett Favre (Jets) remains conflicted about whether to sign with the Minnesota Vikings or retire, according to sources. The decision has become harder for Favre because Vikings RB Adrian Peterson, DE Jared Allen and OG Steve Hutchinson have been some of the players trying to talk Favre into signing. Favre probably would have decided against playing this season if the Vikings players did not call him, according to a source. A source said Favre is starting to feel a sense of obligation to the Vikings. Favre is still unresolved about whether he will be able to hold up for 16 regular season games while maintaining the standard of performance he expects from himself. The two sides have negotiated a one-year deal worth around $10 million if Favre decides to play for the Vikings.
