Miami Dolphins QB Chad Pennington likely will not play much during preseason games because the team wants QB Tyler Thigpen and QB Pat White to gain experience during the games, reports Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Head coach Tony Sparano said he does not need to see Pennington to play much because he knows how much work Pennington needs to be ready for the season.

Miami Dolphins QBs Tyler Thigpen and Pat White will compete during training camp for the team's No. 2 quarterback duties, reports Omar Kelly, of The Sun-Sentinel. White had problems with his accuracy last year, but coaches have noted they have seen improvement during the offseason. The coaches want Thigpen to become a more traditional pocket passer during training camp, and his experience may give him the edge over White for the No. 2 role.
