| Vikes think WR Rice is nice :: Mon Apr 30, 2007 10:59 am |
The Vikings took South Carolina WR Sidney Rice with their second-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Rice was once considered one of the top wideouts in the draft but fell behind during the '06 college season as guys like Ted Ginn, Dwayne Bowe and Robert Meachem passed him up. Rice has awesome size (6-foot-4, 204 pounds) and great speed (4.5 in the 40) and hands, but is a very skinny wideout who can get bumped off routes at the line of scrimmage and could get hurt going over the middle because he doesn't have much bulk.

| Bowe wrapped up by Kansas City :: Sun Apr 29, 2007 10:33 am |
The Chiefs took LSU wideout Dwayne Bowe with their first-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Bowe is a huge target with pretty good speed and great hands. He played consistently well over his career with the Tigers, catching passes from JaMarcus Russell (and making Russell look good). He doesn't necessarily have the stuff to be a No. 1 NFL wide receiver, but he should be way, way better than anything the Chiefs have had opposite Eddie Kennison.
