Detroit Lions QB Shaun Hill (finger) might miss the remainder of the season, reports Dave Birkett, of the Detroit Free Press. A person familiar with the situation said Tuesday, Nov. 30, that Hill broke the index finger on his throwing hand in the first half of the Week 12 game against the New England Patriots, Thursday, Nov. 25. QB Drew Stanton took first-team reps in practice Tuesday and is expected to make his second career start in Week 13 against the Chicago Bears.

Tom Kowalski, of MLive.com, reports Detroit Lions QB Drew Stanton (thumb) said he thinks he can play in the team's Week 5 game if he is needed. "Yeah, I think so, definitely. It's not 100 percent but I think within the next week or so, I'll be there. I have pretty much all my strength back in there. It's just getting that grip strength back and being able to put pressure on the ball at a different spot and sometimes that doesn't necessarily happen just because it is a little bit weaker because of inactivity and having it immobilized for so long," Stanton said. He said he thinks he could handle the workload if the team started him.
