The Associated Press reports Cleveland Browns head coach Romeo Crennel is undecided on who his starting quarterback will be for Week 2. QB Charlie Frye was replaced in the first half of the Week 1 game by QB Derek Anderson. Anderson finished 13-of-28 passing for 184 yards with one touchdown and one interception. QB Brady Quinn was designated the team's No. 3 quarterback for the game, and Crennel said he never considered bringing Quinn in during the Browns' 34-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Even though rookie quarterback Brady Quinn has had a solid preseason, Browns general manager Phil Savage said Saturday night that the Notre Dame product won't be leading the Cleveland offense in their opener on Sept. 9.

The Dolphins picked BYU QB John Beck, 26, with their second-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Beck was graded slightly higher than Brady Quinn on their draft board. Beck is a patient, accurate, quick passer that doesn't have much strength; he is a good west-coast offense type of passer.

Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn was the last rookie in New York to get drafted, but he wound up going to Cleveland when they moved up from the second round in a trade with Dallas. Quinn doesn't have all the physical tools you want in a passer, but he has a very quick release and is a quick mover around and out of the pocket. He's also bright enough to pick up an NFL offense sooner than later. What probably helps Quinn's cause is that he's going to a team coached by Romeo Crennel, who used to work with and is friendly with Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis.
