The Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards showed up at the team's offseason workout program clean shaven and ready to lead his team. Edwards, who went 5-5 last season as a rookie, said he is ready to improve on last year's inconsistent season. At times it seemed the Bills could be a playoff team but struggled down the stretch and couldn’t find a way to beat some of the better teams in the league. Edwards admitted being a little star struck in his rookie season because he was playing against guys he grew up idolizing. When asked about the uncertain situation with teammate and QB J.P. Losman, Edwards said that we would just have to wait and see what happens. Edwards replaced Losman last season and filled in for him regularly when Losman went down with an injury. Edwards told the media that he hopes Losman stays with the team because he thinks very highly of him.

Sal Maiorana, of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, reports Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Turk Schonert said he will give QB Trent Edwards an audible system to use when Edwards believes the team is at a disadvantage during a play.

NFL.com reports Buffalo Bills QB Trent Edwards has been nominated for the Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award for Week 14. Edwards completed 11 of 23 passes for 165 yards and a career-high four touchdowns.
