Mike Spofford, of Packers.com, reports Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said LB Nick Barnett would most likely be the player on defense to wear the helmet with the radio receiver this season. Barnett welcomed the new helmet speaker. "I definitely think it's a great thing, due to the fact that offense has that in their helmet and they can hear the coaches and they don't waste any time trying to figure out what each signal is," Barnett said.

Dan Wilson, of the Gannett Wisconsin Media, reports Green Bay Packers LB Nick Barnett entered a deferred prosecution agreement Wednesday, March 12, on two charges of disorderly conduct, which will result in the criminal charges being dismissed. The charges stemmed from an altercation in a downtown Appleton nightspot in June 2007.
