John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have offered their first-round and fifth-round draft picks in next year's NFL Draft to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for DL Jared Allen. The proposed deal could also include Buccaneers DL Jovan Haye, according to ESPN's Michael Smith.

Stephen Holder, of the St. Petersburg Times, reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers DL Jovan Haye said he still hasnít signed his restricted free-agent tender offer. Haye was present at the team's first offseason workout but he is still looking for a long-term commitment from the team. The tender is worth about $2 million and must be signed by April 18. Haye could still play for the team but would be playing for the one-year deal offered to him. If Haye's decides to accept an offer from another team then the Bucs would have seven days to match the offer.

Defensive end Simeon Rice, linebacker Shelton Quarles and tackle Ellis Wyms will all miss Tampa Bay's game against the Carolina Panthers on Monday night because of injuries. Rice (shoulder), Quarles (knee) and Wyms (ankle) had been listed as questionable on the injury report and didn't make the trip to Charlotte on Sunday. Dewayne White will replace Rice, while second-year pro Barrett Ruud will make his third career start at middle linebacker in place of Quarles. Jon Bradley or Jovan Haye likely will fill in for Wyms, who became a starter when the Buccaneers traded Anthony McFarland to Indianapolis last month.

On Wednesday, the Bucs placed CB Brian Kelly (foot) on injured reserve, ending his season. The team signed DE Jovan Haye to the active roster to take his place. The team also added CB Dion Byrum and OL Jonathan Clinkscale to the practice squad, releasing WR Chad Lucas.
