Arizona Cardinals QB Matt Leinart is stronger than he has ever been, according to the team's strength coach John Lott, reports Paola Boivin, of The Arizona Republic. Lott also praises Leinart's workouts. Leinart spent every day the past three weeks working out with Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer. "He's been here for four years now, and things didn't go the way he wanted them to," head coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "Finally, he has the chance to show what he can do."

The Arizona Cardinals did not get much production out of their passing game Saturday, Aug. 23, against the Oakland Raiders. QB Matt Leinart went 4-of-12 for 24 yards with no touchdowns and three interceptions. QB Kurt Warner didn't toss any interceptions, but he was just 2-of-4 for 40 yards.
