The Cleveland Browns announced Monday, Feb. 4, that QB Derek Anderson has been named to the 2008 AFC Pro Bowl roster. Anderson will replace New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (ankle, shoulder).

ESPN.com reports senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) said he plans to call NFL commissioner Roger Goodell promptly to talk about the New England Patriots Spygate controversy because Specter wants more answers on why the NFL destroyed the evidence. Specter also said the matter may be taken up by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Specter wants to know if Goodell asked Patriots QB Tom Brady if he got any tactical advantage from the evidence. Specter also plans to contact former Patriots employee Matt Walsh, who said he has video that would embarrass the team and the league.

The Associated Press reports New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was 29-for-48 for 266 passing yards with one touchdown Sunday, Feb. 3, during the teams Super Bowl XLII loss to the New York Giants. Brady was sacked five times and hurried a dozen more during the game.
