Edge's O-line already hurting? :: Fri Aug 04, 2006 11:23 pm
Arizona starting right tackle Oliver Ross injured his right knee in practice Wednesday, and the injury has been diagnosed as a probable torn meniscus. He could miss anywhere from three-to-10 weeks. Head coach Dennis Green said right tackle is "kind of crucial" to improving the running game for star free agent acquisition Edgerrin James. "We want to run the ball well," Green said. "We brought in a right guard (Milford Brown) for that reason, and we were able to get Reggie Wells back, paid a lot of money to keep him here, so we think we have made some improvement in the line and we want to make sure that holds up." The rest of the line is set with Milford Brown at right guard, Alex Stepanovich at center, Reggie Wells at left guard and Leonard Davis at left tackle.
