Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward was upset over comments made by QB Ben Roethlisberger, who called for the team to acquire a tall wide receiver to help inside the red zone during the offseason. "I don't hear Tom Brady or Peyton Manning asking for that," Ward said. "I don't know, whatever he says. I have no idea. To me, it's a rare combination of receivers out there who are good and tall. We won a Super Bowl, we didn't have a tall receiver then. I don't see Tom Brady caring about who's tall or not. He got Randy (Moss) this year, but he did it before without him.''

Brady had a plus 42 ratio with 50 touchdown passes and only eight interceptions this season. Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was the previous record holder with a plus 39 ratio.

The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning was 34-for-56 for 328 yards with two touchdowns during the teams Week 10 loss to the San Diego Chargers. He threw six interceptions during the game, setting a new franchise record. Manning also set a career-high with his 56 passing attempts. He moved in sixth on the all-time list for touchdowns with 291 passing touchdowns in his career.

Mike Sullivan, of the North County Times, reports Indianapolis Colts QB Peyton Manning remains in contact with former NFL QB Ryan Leaf (Chargers). Leaf is currently an assistant football coach at West Texas A&M. Manning said, He actually sends me a weekly text (message) of how their team is doing. They're 10-0, I believe. I'm happy to see he's back in football and he seems to be happy.
