An MRI confirmed Pittsburgh Steelers QB Byron Leftwich (knee) suffered a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee during the team’s preseason game, and he is out indefinitely, according to Scott Brown, of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. QB Dennis Dixon is now the frontrunner to fill in as the starting quarterback while QB Ben Roethlisberger is serving his suspension.
