I'm not sure how much of the playoffs I'm going to watch since the Sharks aren't in... I might watch tonight.

My pick is the Blackhawks over the Canadiens.

Subban got ejected for a nasty slash on Stone. What an idiot. I hate Subban so much.

Islanders won 4-1... the Capitals can't beat Halak in the playoffs.

The Habs and Sens combined to score five goals in under five minutes. Montreal won 4-3. I doubt Subban gets suspended for his slash... I mean, swing, at Stone.

The Blackhawks came back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 in double OT on a Duncan Keith goal.

Kris Russell scored for Calgary with about 30 seconds left to break a 1-1 tie. The Flames won 2-1.

So... three of the four road teams won.

The Blackhawks should bench Crawford. He's been awful.

The Flames and Canucks had a line brawl with about a minute and a half left in the game.

Penguins even the series at NYR 4-2 on the back of Crosby's 2 goala.

Tarasenko gets a hat trick in a 4-1 victory over Minnesota. Series tied 1-1

I'm still scratching my head over why the Blackhawks went back with Crawford for Game 2. With no Weber for Nashville, that series should be over soon.

Ducks swept the Jets to the surprise of no one.
Flames and Hawks will advance with wins tonight.

I picked Winnipeg to win the series, so I don't know what you're talking about... Embarassed

Nashville and Vancouver survived to play another night. Tampa came back late from 2-0 down to tie their series with Detroit.

That Tampa Bay comeback was crazy. Good for them.

Hawks lost to Nashville yesterday to put the series at 3-2 CHI heading back to Chicago. Darling has already been announced as the starter for game 6. We have to fix our horrid power play.

I had the Rangers game on for a few minutes last night when the draft was on a commercial, and of course, I saw the game winner with about a second left. Ugh...

The Cup winner is going to come out of the west again, I bet. It's either going to be Anaheim or Chicago. Sigh...

Montreal sure did no-no the bed last night. I think right now, it's Ducks vs Hawks and Rangers vs Lightning. Holtby has been great but I'm not betting against the King.

The Rangers scored more than one goal the other day. It's a friggin miracle.

Well TB really needs to win tonight. I wouldn't want to go back to Montreal for a game 7 with Carey Price on his home ice.

Hawks and Ducks should be a great series. I'm hoping Chicago's playoff experience will help us prevail.

The NHL's scheduling is a complete joke. The Hawks and Ducks have been off forever, and they knew the Eastern Conference would be done last night, so the Hawks and Ducks could have played tonight or Friday for game 1. Instead, the WCF is pushed until Sunday, and the ECF starts saturday even though those teams ended multiple days later! WTF?

Don't blame the schedule makers... blame the horse race that is going on.

They wanted both games on non-cable channels, and having the Ducks start a home game at 10am local time would be a joke... I mean, sure, Game 1 could have been Friday on NBCSN, and Game 2 could have been Sunday at the time it is scheduled for now on NBC, but you know... that would be too easy. At least they aren't like the NBA where earlier in the playoffs, they had three full days off between games in the same series...

...although a few years ago, the NHL made the Sharks host a 9:30am local time playoff game because they were playing the Red Wings, and the league always sucks the Red Wings' **** and gives them their way. I guess the Blackhawks aren't that lucky even though the league clearly loves them, too.

How hard is the NHL rooting for a Rangers/Blackhawks series? A Lightning/Ducks series would be a disaster for the league's ratings.

Oh yeah, I found this interesting...

May 13, 2013: Henrik Lundqvist makes 35 saves, Rangers win Game 7 against the Capitals
May 13, 2014: Henrik Lundqvist makes 35 saves, Rangers win Game 7 against the Penguins

Also, looking back at the schedule from the last round, Game 7 (if there was one) of the Flames/Ducks series would have been tonight.

I can you tell you right now, the only way I'm going to watch the SCF is if the Hawks are in it. The Ducks are second on my hate list behind the LA "Please don't remember we're still actually located in Anaheim" Angels. If the Sharks weren't so hilariously bad in the playoffs, they'd probably be first, just because of Bryan Marchment in the late 90s.

Both series go the distance. Good times. Go Rangers and (ugh) Anaheim.

And so we now have a final between the Lightning and the Hawks. Should be a fun series. Both teams have plenty of youth and speed.

Predictions?
Hawks in 6.

Game 1 is Wednesday in Tampa.

I think the Blackhawks will win in 6 as well.
