* General*
1. The league will not condone any form of cheating or collusion. Any members considered to be cheating/ colluding will be banned from further inclusion of the league after a league vote
2. The league shall be set at 12 teams, but the possibility for expansion/ contraction will be left open for further discussion.
3. The league will be set as a head-to-head, 7x4 league consisting of the following stat categories: Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Game-Winning Goals (GWG), Shots on Goal (SOG), Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)
4. The league will host an annual five round entry draft.

*DRAFT*
1. The league wide entry draft will consist of five rounds. Any players currently owned by NHL teams may be drafted in these five rounds. Rights to players that have not yet been added to the Yahoo Free Agent pool may be drafted.
2. Draft picks may be traded for players, or other draft picks, prior to, or during the draft.
3. The order of the draft will be determined by a combination of the previous seasonís final standings pre and post playoffs for the teams that qualified for the previous year's playoffs. Those teams that missed the playoffs will be seeded by final standings.
4. In the event of expansion, teams will be asked to hand in a list of ďProtectedĒ players, meaning that these players cannot be drafted by the incoming teams. All non-Protected players will be eligible to be drafted by the newly formed teams. The most a single team can lose to the expansion draft is 3 players. These players will be reimbursed with extra picks in a supplemental round of the entry draft directly after the first round.
5. In the event of contraction, the team(s) being dismantled will be put up for a Contraction draft. This draft will be a two round, non-mandatory draft. Owners will have the opportunity to take up to two players from the contracted team, but will also have the opportunity to pass when their pick comes. Contraction draft picks will be based on the previous seasonís final standings. Contraction draft picks may not be traded.
6. Players not drafted that are not in the Yahoo pool can not be added to a final roster. This will keep owners deemed out of the playoff hunt from being able to stockpile prospects.

*ROSTERS*
Roster Positions: C, C, LW, LW, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, Util, G, G, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, IR, IR, IR
Stat Categories: Goals (G), Assists (A), Plus/Minus (+/-), Penalty Minutes (PIM), Powerplay Points (PPP), Game-Winning Goals (GWG), Shots on Goal (SOG), Wins (W), Goals Against Average (GAA), Save Percentage (SV%), Shutouts (SHO)
DAILY ROSTER CHANGES
1. A teamís roster will consist of up to 30 players. There will be a 20-man active roster (as seen on each teams Yahoo page) as well as a 12-man farm team.
2. Players eligible to be sent to the farm team must have played less than 82 career NHL games played for all players. Once a player starts his 82nd game, the owner will need to either promote or release the player into the free agent pool which will be due at midnight of the players 82nd game-day.
3. In the event of trades, managers will have a two-day window to set their rosters accordingly. Managers will have the ability at this time to move players up from their minor-league roster or to send players involved in the trade or from their roster down. Players added after the trade has been accepted will not be allowed to be sent to the minor league team.
4. At the end of each season, rosters will be open for trades. A month prior to the start of the season, all teams must cut rosters to 20 players and 10 minor leaguers. All released players will be available once the teams have been entered into the yahoo system.
5. Any owner that adds a player from another team will have their lineup edited to take that player out of the lineup (if caught in time) OR lose their top player for the same number games that they play the player in question.
ROSTER LOCKDOWN:
1) No players can be called added after roster lockdown. Players may be called up/ sent down but moves will be regulated by Yahoo rules.

Let me know of any corrections. I mostly adapted this from the MLB Dynasty Rules since wikihost isn't loading.

We were. We will have to do some edits as it seems like we have switched to align these rules with the MLB League. Rosters will lockdown meaning no new players can be added, but players on the minor league roster or IR can be called up as long as the appropriate roster move is made to clear space.

Question about IR...once a player is placed on IR does that free an extra spot? Meaning can I make a free agent signing without cutting a player?

You have to move the player to 1 of your IR spots on your roster and then you will have an available roster spot. Once a player comes of IR, you can't make any additions until you either return that player to your active roster or drop him.
