New Orleans Saints RB Pierre Thomas said he still has room to improve and has been preparing himself to improve his pass protection, reports Alan Macey, of The SouthtownStar. He said watching how QB Drew Brees approaches the game has been beneficial to his growth as a student of the game. "My mental approach is that of patience, which is similar to how I run. I let the play unfold, see the hole and blast through it," Thomas said. He signed a one-year, $1.684 million tender earlier this year, and reports claim he and the Saints are still working on a long-term deal.
