The Boston Red Sox are the World Series champs. They made a huge comeback against the dreaded Yanks, and won it all. What a team, what a team. Cool

Definetely, that could've been the difference. I just can't see Schilling on the Yanks.

Additions

Edgar Renteria
David Wells

Loses

Pedro Martinez
Derek Lowe
Orlando Cabrera

I think the Redsox lost a little bit of what got them there.

its not bad. I dont like them getting rid of Lowe just cuz they need more youth on that team. Plus he helped them a lot in the playoffs.

You forgot they lost
Gabe Kapler and
Dave Roberts and
they added
Jay Payton
and Jose Hernandez i think

But the Red Sox wont be repeating because the Yankees have reloaded again and the Red Sox are just watching. And they better watch out for the teams looking for the wild card because Cleveland Seattle and the Rangers are adding these players and they might make it so they should watch out

Seattles pitching is better than the staff of that Rangers team. When it comes down to it, Seattle isn't going to win the West, and they deffinetely won't beat out the Redsox or Yankees in the East.

The Red Sox's main problem is the pitching. Schilling has his injury problems. Wells will be ok but his age will catch up with him, Clement will be pretty good, Miller will be ok, and since the 5th slot is still rather uncertain I hope Wakefield gets it as he is a decent pitcher. Pedro may have problems off the field but he was an impressive pitcher in his own right. Lowe was still young and was a great playoff pitcher. The offense is good though. No worries there. However pitching wise the Yankees have reloaded and their offense is as explosive as ever. I suspect the Sox will sneak into the Wild card and get beaten by the Yanks in the ALCS. Just like old times.

Doug Mientkiewicz, call a lawyer. You're going to need one if you want to keep the baseball you caught for the final out of the World Series.

Losing Lowe is not a bad thing, with the playoffs aside, not that they arent important , he did nothing all year and with Pedros 100 pitch count I have no proble with wells,Matt Clement a healthy Wade Miller(key) and Edgar . You basically get all four of them for what the 2 headcases wanted, I liked Lowe and appreciate the way he left with class but he really was awful in the reg season just watching him everday and watch his body language on a bad outing was just sooo annoying kicking the dirt and pouting come on, theres no crying in baseball!!!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah Or Football Hines Ward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Lowe had that one incredible season in 2002 with a 2.58 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP!!!!

After that in 2003 his ERA rose to 4.47, and in 2004 a 5.42.

Yeah it's a good thing they got somebody else.

The Red Sox are looking pretty good going into S.T...about the Yankess, though...their staff will do good with Johnson and Mussina at the top, but don't expect a lot from Pavano and Wright...remember, only 2 good season TOTAL between the 2 of them...and they are both in their 1st year in teh Bronx...don't forget how well Vazquez did last year in his first year in pinstripes...I thinks it's be all right for our Idiots...call me crazy, but the Yankee-Implosion has just begun...Red Sox-A.L. East Champs in '05

As a Yankee fan, I'm not high on Carl Pavano. Who would have ever thought he would do as good as he did last year? Do you seriously think he will repeat? This reminds me of last year when they got Javier Vazquez.
