Tomo Ohka might suck.........but Casey Fossum makes him look like Roger Clemens Mad Damn, Drays pitching is pathetic after Kazmir.

Bluejays have always owned Fossim too... not that there is a team that doesn't, but the Jays have owned him more.

Troy Glaus has fouled a ball off his ankle and left the game. He almost fell over while running to 1st but then didn't seem to limp much when he straightened out. I doubt he'll end up on the DL but might sit out tomorrow.

Jays MGR John Gibbons is gonna take a bat to the home plate ump in a second. As if the bad pitching call aren't bad enough, Jason Phillips just hit a foul tip THAT BROKE HIS BAT and it was called stike 3. If you can't see that then you have no bussiness as an UMP.

Maybe Jason Phillips oughta lay off the roids so he doesn't break his bat just by swinging it. Completely obvious he's on roids:

2002: 1hr
2003: 11hr
2004: 7hr
2005: 10hr
2006: 0hr

As you can see, he has significant improvement every odd year. My guess is he decided to quit after every season, then after sucking, he goes back on and has another outstanding season. If you didn't realize it, this is pegged to be a roid season.

Jays are kicking the snot out of Moyer. Overbay just hit a 3 run shot to make it 7-0 in the 4th. Overbay has a tripple tonight too, maybe he'll hit for the cycle.

I posted about Marcum's pitching in the gameday thread.

It always seems like when we talk about somebody earlier in the day(Overbay and his struggles), they seem to have a good game.

The one day I have him on the bench and he hits a grand slam. Thanks a lot Lyle.

Jessie Litsch was absolutly anialated by the Yankees today. He was done before the 1st inning was over. I had kind of predicted his time was almost up with the Jays. Here's part of a column I wrote just yesterday.

Quote:
Since I am a Jays fan, it wouldn't be right not to close out this segment without a look at Jesse Litsch who received a call up out of desperation after the Jays finally came to the conclusion that Tomo Ohka, Josh Towers, and Victor Zambrano are quite possibly among the worst pitchers ever to grace (or disgrace) an MLB mound. Litsch however, is not the answer. Sure he looked impressive in his first start, but most of these kids do their first time. The Orioles didn't take enough pitches from Litsch to get a read on him and simply hit a lot of ground balls and pop ups. The 21 year old Litsch just isn't ready for the show yet, it is doubtful that he will even start both games as the Jays may look back to Okha, but regardless he should be avoided even in AL only leagues.

That's what you get when you throw a former Tampa Bay Devil Rays' ballboy out there.

Catcher Curtis Thigpen has finally gotten a call up, since Jason Phillips will most likely be spending some time at 1st with Overbay out. He will have little value in fantasy leagues right now with Zaun coming off the DL, but the kid is a monster with power and speed, he should be fun to watch. Next year he should be on the 40 man roster.

Man the Jays never learn. I'd rather see Scott Downs or Jordan De Jong take over as starter. Even Brian Tallet.

Quote:
The Toronto Blue Jays inserted right-hander Josh Towers into the starting rotation on Thursday and designated righty Tomo Ohka for assignment. "It wasn't working out so we'll make an adjustment," manager John Gibbons said. The move frees up a roster spot for catcher Gregg Zaun, who is scheduled to join the team in Los Angeles on Friday for the start of a three-game series against the Dodgers.
(Updated 06/07/2007).
FANTASY ANALYSIS
Towers is 2-3 with a 5.15 ERA in 10 games this season. He went 1-3 in four April starts before being demoted to the bullpen. "He's the logical choice," Gibbons said. "He's been pitching good in that role out there." Towers, who's in the second year of a two-year, $5.2 million contract, will start in Ohka's place in San Francisco on Monday. Towers is worth looking at in AL-only formats.

The Big Hurt just smashed #499 in to the upper deck, I predict he hits #500 today too. The Jays are on fire and McGowan has been lights out so far.

Dustin McGowan has a no hitter going through seven innings. Yes, a no hitter. No hits allowed. The Rockies have zero hits today. No hits!

Let's go jinx!

He's a great pitcher, I've been saying that since he was in AAA, he just needed to find some confidence.

Jeff Baker singles leading off ther 9th! Applause

You know what though, Willy Taveras was called out even though he was safe on a groundball leading off the game.
