Unfortunately, I don't see anyone who can beat Pittsburgh right now. Bylsma has them playing ridiculous hockey since he took over - and they have three studs. Maybe Chicago and Detroit can take them down or a hot Cam Ward.

Exact opposite of last night - two excellent games right now.

I hope the Canes take down the Pens now. And the Hawks go all the way.

What do you mean "unfortunately"? Sounds pretty fortunate from my side of things haha

I will be at the home games for the Blackhawks when the Red Wings visit. This is going to be absolutely nuts. United Center has been crazy for Hawks games

I've been to several playoff hockey games. Only the basketball atmosphere can be more intense (no glass, close to the court), but late in a game, I have a hard time getting riled up for anything quite like playoff hockey. Everybody in the crowd is like one giant person cheering on the big hit, the breakaway, and of course, the goals.

Totally. Nothing matches the intensity of a playoff hockey game. I might even go so far as to say:

Football > Baseball > Hockey

but

Playoff Hockey > Playoff Football > Playoff Baseball.

(Baseball > Golf > Tennis > Playing with my little ponies > eating human feces > The NBA.)

Even in Dallas it was huge. I had the chance to go to playoff games three seasons in a row('98, '99, and '00).

I guess the 2001 playoffs makes me fall in love with the NBA playoffs. The atmosphere when AI and co. was great. The 7-game series with the Raptors (when Vince was the man) was the greatest series of my life. I got to go to two of those games, and I wouldn't trade them for anything. AI scored 50 twice in that series, including 54 in one of the games I witnessed. Then another 7-game series vs. the Bucks (the Ray Allen, Sam Cassell team), where I saw game five in the stands, a 91-89 win. Obviously won in seven before losing all three at home to LA in the Finals. But still, it was so much fun.

Pittsburgh has completely dismantled the Canes. The Canes will not bounce back from a 3 game deficit. The Pens are playing outstanding hockey and Malkin is out of his mind

Id love to see Pens/Wings again but it would be really nice to see Chicago get back to the finals

I'm going to be pretty damn disappointed if the same 2 teams are in SCF again this year, but it looks inevitable now.

They'll be here again. Can't expect too much from such a young team. Impressive show thus far, but Detroit's far too talented.

Cristobal Huet was lucky there was not more scored. they missed a bunch of open shots and he looked lost.
