I am proposing a change that will make the consolation games irrelevant with regards to the draft order. Do you want the consolation games to matter? I vote no, as I think they are for pride only.

Edit: Yes means you want the consolation games (as in the loser's bracket) to count. No means that you want only the winner's bracket to count, and that you don't want the consolation games to count.

To clarify, a "yes" vote indicates that we don't want consolation games to affect the draft order? Curious because you said you voted no.

A yes vote means that you do want them to matter.

I vote no. It seems that most people don't participate in the consolation bracket anyway. It's not really fair to just "forget" to set your lineup and move up the draft board by doing it.

You should clarify what you think "consolation" games are exactly. You implied before anything but the final game is a consolation game. Typically, I would agree. However, I don't necessarily agree with that in this particular league as the first, second and third place teams are acknowledged, kind of like the Olympics, not just the league champ like most leagues. Of course, this is my only Yahoo league so maybe it's a Yahoo thing. Nevertheless, I legitimately played for third place and wanted to 'medal' so to speak, so that wasn't a consolation game to me. I would agree anything but the final game and third place game are consolations though.

Also, you may want to edit the OP so that it clarifies exactly what a yes/no vote mean.

League voted yes, but based on the rest of his comments it appears he meant to vote "no".

Just a simple:

Vote Yes - consolation games should matter
Vote No - consolation games shouldn't matter

To go along with Mickels, clarify what constitutes a "consolation game".

It shouldn't be this confusing. I think the definition changed after I voted, but you are correct Zam, I DO NOT want the consolation games to count. My vote is No.

I think I agree with this sentiment. I would just want to prevent tanking from helping you in the draft.

Agreed, it shouldn't matter for draft order.

Alright, the consolation matches will not impact the draft order starting in 2018. Thanks for voting, guys.
