Non Jays fans may say it's no big deal, but they don't know how dominate he can be. His curveball is probably even better than Kershaw's. Every year the Jays are supposed to be contenders, and the bottom line is they have failed to live up to that with even better rosters then they've had this year. This will surely put Sanchez in the rotation. The Jays still have a great bullpen, but the rotation is suspect. Young and unproven, and Dickey could go either way at his age. |

So this afternoon the Jays announced that Roberto Osuna will be their opening day closer. I understand that they didn't want to take a job away from a kid who did nothing to lose it, but then why the interest in Storen at all. It really doesn't make much sense Osuna is a guy that can go 2 or 3 innings in mid-relief if they needed him to (and they Jays are still toying with the idea of stretching him into a starter), can the same be said about Storen? |

How often does this happen? The Jays lead all off baseball in runs scored between innings 1-5, and are dead last in runs scored in innings 5-9.
Pat Venditte was also called up today and is expected to pitch in the 7th or 8th inning, so he could be eligible for some holds. |

Pretty sure Tulo has a broken index finger and/or thumb after being hit hard in the hand by a pitch. The sound it made was pretty sickening and he's left the game now. |

Now Saunders gets drilled in the ribs from a pick off attempt to first. He'll have a tattoo but I think he's ok. |

Kevin Pillar is in hot water. It's unclear if the so-called homophobic slur he uttered to Motte was "Fa**ot" or "C*cker sucker". IMO it's been blown way out of proportion and does not warrant a suspension. It's an emotional game, things get said. The F word doesn't necessarily mean G@y amymore. It's just means you're being an A-Hole. |

Two game suspension for Pillar, and Motte will go on the 10 day DL with hurt feelings. He needs to go to his "Safe Space". |
