Come on, I'm kidding. I don't like Crosby, but I respect his on the ice talent.

The mumps are a serious issue. Blame Anaheim.

Apparently, "rivalry night" last night was Boston/Minnesota. Damn, they really can't stand one another...

A shootout went 20 rounds the other day in the Capitals/Panthers game. Too bad nobody was there to see NHL history.

I hate shootouts, but I was watching it on NHL Network. Brooks Orpik (!!!) even scored.

Olli Maatta, who had a cancerous leg tumor removed earlier this season, also now has the mumps.

The problem is that it seems that the mumps has come from one of either the Ducks or the Blues....the Pens played both not too long ago.

On a positive note, Fleury tested negative and went on to get his league leading 6th shutout.

The Winter Classic is/was today (not sure if it's over or not).

Let's spin the wheel and see what we get this year...

Oh, Chicago vs. Washington... sounds great!

It's probably going to be Penguins vs. Bruins next year, I think. It would be a real shame if it wasn't Montreal vs. Boston, but I doubt they'd want two Canadian teams in it in a three year span.

Girgensons (Buffalo) and five Blackhawks make the All-Star Game thanks to the fan vote.

Jagr is the oldest player to record a hat trick, almost 9 years since his last.

So... the Sharks managed to lose to the Blues by the same exact 7-2 score twice in a five day span. I wonder when the last time that has happened.

And now he's been ruled out for the season.

Mike Richards on waivers... any takers? None? That's what I thought.

I'm still surprised that they didn't use an amnesty buyout on him last offseason. Now, they can't.

I didn't watch, but the ASG was predictably a joke. What was it, 17-12 or something?

Martin Brodeur retired.

I didn't watch either. Highest scoring one ever. I did watch the Skills Comp. It was alright. A few laughs here and there and the players really seemed to be enjoying themselves. One thing I did notice was how strong of a skater Gaudreau was. Turned the tightest turn in that skills relay challenge all night but fumbled the puck later as he was weaving between the pylons. And there was this:

That's really about it.

Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian to the Sabres for Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, Joel Armia, and a first round pick (not the top pick, Buffalo has 3 I think).

Stars traded Lindback and a 3rd to Buffalo for Enroth.

So the Jets finally moved Kane and the Buffalo fire sale has finally begun.

The Sharks are sinking. The Kings are surging. I am not looking forward to the outdoor game on Saturday.

The Stars scored more goals tonight than just about every other game's combined total and still lost.

The Sharks are basically eliminated from the playoff race. They better fire Wilson and keep McLellan and Thornton.

And I said this months ago. The Kings are either going to sneak into the playoffs and win the cup again or just miss and win the lottery. Just watch.

The Islanders allowed a goal with 3 seconds left to lose in regulation.

Ottawa came back from 3-0 down and won in OT. The Sens are still alive. The Penguins are in danger of missing the playoffs all of the sudden.

If the Kings lose in regulation tonight, they are eliminated.

Kings are out. Bruins are out. Pens are in.

And Jamie Benn takes the Art Ross with a 87 points. Lowest in a full season since Stan Mikita in '67-'68, when they played 8 fewer games.
