Long and short of it... The Jays Pick up JA Happ, Brando Lyon, and David Carpenter. The Stros get Ben Francisco, Francisco Cordero and a bunch a crappy prospects.

Happ's had a tough time in Houston. I love the strikeouts, so he has some stuff, but control's been an issue.

I'm not sure what Houston got back either. Seems rather a pathetic haul for a decent starter and reliever.

I'm a Jays fan and I didn't recognizance any of the prospects involved. I'm hoping the Jays move Snider soon too. He hasn't had much success at the major league level. Giving him a change of scenery would benifit both Snider and the Jays.

Musgrove and Wojo are solid prospects. Both could be something like 3 or 4 starters (in about 3 years). Happ wasn't going to be in HOU long term anyway so why not get what you can and rebuild the farm.

I like the deal from both sides. Toronto gets three guys with their shoulders still intact somewhat and Houston gets a bunch of projects to build their minors on.

I guess I do see Houston's POV now. You trade 3 essentially worthless pieces for quantity. You figure if one of those guys hits, it's a win.

I'm nor surprised the Jays didn't make a serious effort, but I didn't expect the Dodgers to make they winning play for him.

As an Angels fan, I can't say I'm upset the Astro's are unloading EVERYONE of any value before the big move to the AL West next year.

Yeah, might as well mark a "W" in the schedule for the Angels when they meet the Stros for at least the next 5 years.. They traded Wandy yesterday too..

Angels always tend to find a way to lose to the teams they're supposed to beat while holding their own against the Yanks etc.

So, we'll see.
