Rosters for both the AL and NL All Star teams were announced yesterday and of course, today everyone is complaining about the snubs.
Nobody more than Dusty Baker who is accusing NL Manager Tony La Russa from keeping Cueto and Phillips off the roster in response to their involvement in the brawl between the Reds and Cardinals a few years ago.
The Reds do have three representatives in Chapman, Votto and Bruce.
Does Baker not realize there are 16 teams in the NL and every team needs a representative? [/code] |

| Yeah, Altuve and Miley essentially took those two off the roster. |

| Where is Edwin Encarnacion?? He deserves to be there more than any other BlueJays including Bautista. |

Darvish is not a surprise at all. He obviously had the international vote in his pocket.
The Rangers now have 8 representatives (which is a bit much in my opinion) but oh well. The Angels have 4 so I can't exactly complain, but it would have been nice to spread it out a bit.
As much as I hate the guy, A. J. Pierzynski deserved to make the team over Napoli and Weiters. And due to games played probably deserves it over Mauer as well.
The Rangers marketing department just did a much better job at encouraging people to vote. My dad was in Tex on business and went to a game a few weeks ago and said between every half inning the PA announcer encouraged people to vote and they put it up on all digital billboards. Then he started receiving emails encouraging him to vote since he bought his ticket online.
The few Angels games I have been to so far this year, I haven't even seen a ballot and there wasn't a single announcement.
As for NL, it would have been nice for Grienke to make the team and get to pitch in KC again. |

| Yeah they reminded us a lot at Rangers games. Also got many emails. We also get half price tickets for voting the max 25 times, which is also nice. But Freese received more votes than Darvish, so I'm not so sure about that International vote. Peavy wasn't too far behind for second either. |
