Ronny was on the radio today.

Said some good things about his future.

- Feels good to be part of the LA community, enjoys the way he was received by the LA fans, one of the most "prestigious franchises"

- feels fantastic. working out in Spokane. trying to get back in shape

- lost 25 pounds, feels good. mentioned becoming as model for versace...LOL, devoted to playing bball and will get back to 250 and strong

- not going too fast per dr orders

- no problems since surgery, drs did a good job fixing him up

- misses playing

- never had any heart problems before, no symptoms; regular exam found the problem.

- first thoughts after being told about heart: "crap, have to put my career on hold"

- scared at the press conference, but not since. more concerned with resuming career for his family

- does not remember coming out of surgery for the first 2 or 3 days; felt better after 2 weeks, thoughts about bball

- tony parker called, as did boris diaw; old GU coaches, kupchak, ronnie lester came to see him

- taking it one day at a time. appt on nov 7 to see if he can practice again, doesn't think he will be ready in 2 or 3 months. hopefully by december.

- "don't doubt me, I'll be in purple and gold soon"

Divac was hired on by the Lakers to be their official scout to evaluate European talent, scout more local players, and of course help out with the draft.

Divac should become a instructor and the institute for the art of basketball flopping. He could become the Dean right off the bat. That's how good he was at it.

Maybe he finally found the right system, with the suns and pistons he was expected to make plays; something he just couldn't do. As with the lakers his playing great defense and just hiting the open jumper.

Well he was doing it in the playoffs. I don't think of him as a ball hog at all. Last year during the season his teammates were horrible but he led all shooting guards in assists. Now with them playing better I expect him to pass more often.

This could really hurt the Lakers. Odom was playing great for them, especially when Kobe was out. I expect the Suns to lead the division by about 4 games by the end of the month.

Odom officially out at least four weeks

Lamar Odom was examined by team orthopedist Dr. Steve Lombardo, who verified that Odom would be out at least four weeks with a moderate MCL sprain to his right knee.

Phil Jackson was right on the money on Tuesday night when he said he didn't expect to see Odom on the court again until the end of January. Vladimir Radmanovic or Brian Cook will probably start in Odom's place until he returns. Dec. 13 - 4:55 pm et

Im a bit shocked the last post in here was 2006, but hey...

Impressive win for the Lakers last night, though I'm still embarrassed from game 4. I think Bynum getting 14 and 6 wasn't big for his confidence as much as it was for Phil Jackson trusting him out on the floor again. Phil is WAY too stiff with his rotation, and he NEVER adjusts them voluntarily, because he wants to make the other team adjust- I disagree with this.

Clearly, Farmar should be, and should have been starting for this series against Houston against Aaron Brooks to match up with his speed. Fisher should come off the bench to match up with Lowry, and to stabilize the 2nd unit (which has been playing TERRIBLE as of late). ATTN: MEDIA: Andrew Bynum isn't RUSTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mad The guy is 21 years old! Let him go out there and work up a sweat! He gets pulled so quickly, and gets so many touch fouls, that he's totally out there playing to not mess up, instead of just playing his game. I can say with absolute certainty, that if Bynum was given STEADY minutes, he would be producing! You can just tell the guy is out there thinking to himself "If I do this...is this right? Will Phil take me out if I take this 6'6'' guy 1 on 1 instead of running the Triangle? Should I set a pick? Or should I stay down low for the offensive rebound?" JUST PLAY YOUR GAME BIG MAN!!!!!!

I have been the only So Cal / West Coast person (with the exception of Freak who is up in Oregon) for a while and I don't pay much attention to NBA. Most other NBA team threads are much more active than this one. Laughing
