According to WEEI's and Yahoo Sports' Michael Silver, Tom Brady suffered a torn ACL during the 1st quarter of today's game and will miss the remainder of the 2008 NFL season.
Well..say goodbye to the Patriots for this season. at least we'll get a top draft pick next season though.

| That is totally not funny. So much for repeating in the dynasty this year. |

| Not that I like seeing someone get hurt, but this certainly makes it interesting for Favre and the Jets |

Well, not just the Jets, but the whole AFC East is wide open now.
On one hand, it sucks and hurts my team I'm trying to three-peat in a league. On the other hand, a guy I'm playing in another league had him. Funny how fantasy helps or hurts you depending on point of view. |

And they were just talking about the Super Bowl loser curse before that game.
All the closet Patriot fans should be going back into hiding by now. |

| Should be interesting to see how the fan base diminishes once they lose a few games. As upsetting as it is to lose Brady, I'm interested to see how Cassel plays in his absence. Some mighty big shoes to fill. |

All the bandwagon fans can crawl away but I will remain faithful. First I'm still awaiting the final word on Brady and his status. He suffered a similar injury in 2001 when Lee Flowers went at Brady's knee. People believed he was going to be out for an extended period of time and he ended up fine. Let's wait for the final word.
If Brady is to be out for the year, this season is far from over. In my opinion, this team is still the best team in the AFC East and is still worthy of winning 10 or 11 games with Cassell behind center. I will say it now, the Patriots will still win the AFC East.
They have the offensive line to protect Cassell and the offensive weapons to make him comfortable in the pocket. The offense will now do its work on the ground and will call on Cassell to just keep it simple and not cough up the ball. Cassell is still a talented Quarterback in my eyes and there is a reason why BB has kept him around for so long despite some of his struggles. I also think that the defense is going to surprise a lot of people and be a major strength of the team this year. Also remember, this Patriots team has the leagues easiest schedule according to last years records.
I can't wait for next week so we can put it to the Jets and let those obnoxious fans who are licking their chops have it real good.
In BB We Trust. |

ANNNNND...then they were immediately turned away once they landed. According to Scott Pioli, "the team's circumstances have changed," whatever that means? |

| Yeah, I read that as a follow-up tonight...I would be pissed if I flew in and then they told me at the airport to go back home |

Atheists don't believe God exists. Brady's now out for the year, proving them wrong. And I laugh in their faces as now they must all convert to some religious belief. |

| Hmm. Does Karma count as a religious belief? Apparently the powers that be weren't satisfied with just a humiliating superbowl loss. |

I'll consider conversion when Belichick has a stroke on field while watching Randy Moss break his neck. |
