Tomorrow is the season opener and we have the Ducks vs the Kings in London. The first nationally televised game is on Versus and it is Sunday at Noon with the same teams.

It seems odd to start the season in a place like London - I didn't think the English were big hockey fans.

Oh, and go Avs! Applause

Good job by the Ducks turning the score around today and winning 4-1. They were more on target and did not make LA look like a team of All-Stars today.

I coulda done without the Versus announcers today. They sucked horribly. Spent 10 minutes talking about Todd Bertuzzi's butt hurting in the playoffs. Rolling Eyes

Looks like I'm in for a fun night Wednesday then. Rolling Eyes Oh well, I can listen to horrible announcers since the Avs will win. Wink

Does Versus still use that annoying sliding camera thing?

I did not think the announcers were that bad but I do have some hope for you guys. The Dallas vs Colorado game has a different set of announcers:

Oct. 3 - 9:30, Dallas vs. Colorado (Play By Play: Joe Beninati, Color: Daryl Reaugh, Reporter: Bob Harwood)

BTW was anyone annoyed by the studio host Bill Patrick(I think that was him, the guy that was always looking at the camera like he didnt know what he was doing)? I mean really is this guy the best they could do. They need a former player that everyone knows not this guy.

Reaugh is the color man for the Stars so that makes me happy.
