Don't count the Angels out quite yet.

Arte fired the hitting coach, hopefully lighting a fire under the teams smelly feet. Trout and Trumbo look really good. Although power isn't quite back, for being out of baseball for 2 years, Kendrys is healthy and looking pretty good.

Albert hit his 2nd HR today and it was in a clutch situation. Plus, he's raised his AVG like 20 points in the past couple days. Interleague this weekend in San Diego might snap him out of it bringing back something he's a little more familiar with playing against NL with NL rules.
_________________

Billingsley was a nice surprise. Who would have expected a comeback season like that after being dropped in nearly every league last season. Jerome Williams was also a nice surprise especially since the Angels offense really hasn't gotten it going yet. I'm also keeping my eye on Travis Ishikawa and Brad Pill. They look like they could break out and actually have some fantasy value with regular playing time.

I can't be surprised by anyone being named closer, they one's that aren't on the DL are pitching like crap and losing their jobs. I don't think we've ever seen the closer situation quite this bad this early in the season.

And who would have thought the Nats would be the team to beat in the NL? It should be interesting if they can get it going.
_________________

I don't consider this spam because the Lounge is more dead than this place lately. But since we're on the topic, one I really enjoyed researching and writing about was Ryan Leaf. I didn't know the half of his story and it's pretty crazy stuff. Anyone who wants to check it out can click the link below. This was written back in September.
