I don't think we'll appreciate the Miggy era until after he leaves. He kinda got overshadowed by Pujols while Verlander gets all the sponsors in Detroit. Then last year Harper arrives and Miggy's forgotten again.

Padres have won 16 of 24! Cashner, Marquis, Stults, Richard and Volquez... what a rotation!

Patrick Corbin is now 7-0 after a 10-K, 3-hit complete game vs. the Rockies. He has a 1.44 ERA.

By the way, when I'm playing as the Nuggets, I get a kick out of the announcers on NBA 2K13 talking about how George Karl has never won coach of the Year.

Miguel Cabrera is putting on a show, but it's not going to be enough.

At the moment: 4/4, 3 HR, 4 R, 5 RBI, IBB.

Must have realized he was trailing in homers and thought it was time to catch up.

Also, this wasn't mentioned but Votto reached base 6 in PAs yesterday, including two walks and a homer. His season OBP now sits at .473.

Probably won't happen, but I'm hoping for a Grizzlies/Pacers finals.

By the way, if Memphis plays like they can and have most of the season, I think they actually have a better shot at beating Miami.

Been playing a ton of Skyrim. I know, I know... I have to force myself to put it away.

Also getting some good mileage out of NBA 2K13 ad MLB 13 The Show.

Just picked up Far Cry 3. Haven't played very long. I'm still dealing with tutorials. Very promising though.

The Grizzlies look awful right now. Just plain awful. I honestly don't care if they lose this series. I think the Spurs have a better chance of beating the Heat, anyway, and that's all I want from this series -- that the team that has the better chance of beating Miami wins.

Grizz-Spurs starts tonight. It seems even. Grizz may be the favorite after Golden State showed the perimeter weakness for the Spurs, but whether Memphis capitalizes is up for debate. Duncan, Parker and Manu are still on the roster, but Ginobili's been playing 20-25 minutes most of the playoffs. I don't think Pops will change that. Green and Leonard vs. Allen and Prince may be almost as important as Tiago and TD vs. Randolph and Gasol. Bayless has offered some important scoring off the bench, and Pondexter played well vs. OkC, but San Antonio has been giving its bench starter minutes in previous years such as with Diaw, Neal, and Bonner and also through this regular season for Cory Joseph and Patty Mills.

Every starter in the lineup of the Rays-O's affair had a hit in 22-run, 30-hit, 6-walk affair. All but Desmond Jennings (oddly, leading off) and Markakis scored a run.

Houston loses in the dumbest way possible with Jason Paradis overtaking Jake Elmore's routine flyball in shallow right and turning it into a blooper for the Bucs 5-4 victory.

Goldschmidt hit 2 HR and has 12 on the season, second to Upton, who hit a grand slam, and the DBax won, 9-2, over Miami. Goldschmidt is also 2nd in the league with 35 RBI and 4th, with .338 average. He leads the league in slugging, OPS and WAR and is top 5 in OBP, too.

Raul Ibanez, the 40-year-old LF for the M's, hit his 7th home run and had 3 hits overall vs. Cleveland.

So Bryce Harper ran into a wall. About the only thing he's done wrong since getting called up. Gonna be a long 2 decades.

Billy Butler had the league's 2nd 5-hit game yesterday (Carlos Santana had the other) with 5 RBI. He had a 7-RBI game earlier this season meaning 12 of his 25 RBI this season have come in 2 games.

Jean Segura had 3 steals yesterday, the most since Everth Cabrera last September. Segura somehow didn't score a run.

Adam Wainwright was magnificent today. He spun a two-hit shutout with seven Ks.

And Yu Darvish faces the Astros tonight. Remember his last start against the Astros? Yeah, he was thisclose to a perfect game.

There were a pair of one hit shutouts yesterday. Shelby Miller allowed a leadoff single and then retired 27 straight batters to end the game. I think John Lackey did that with the Angels a few years ago. Jon Lester had the other one.
