Two Start Pitchers :: Week 13
by Scott Mickels
Published: June 24, 2013, 5:59 am

There aren't many two-start pitching options to go around this week, and luckily there's only one Injury Watch. For this we head down to the desert where Arizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Trevor Cahill is dealing with a right hip contusion. Cahill suffered the injury during his last start on Wednesday against the Marlins after being struck in the hip by a Marcell Ozuna line drive. He was only 3 pitches into the 2nd inning before the injury occurred. Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said he chose to pull Cahill after the injury to avoid the pitcher tinkering with his mechanics to compensate for the injury. On the plus side, Gibson said Cahill has a bruised hip, but he also fully expects him to make his next scheduled start Tuesday at Washington. This was further evidenced by the fact Cahill got through a bullpen session on Friday without any problems. With all signs pointing to Cahill making his next start, feel free to use him next week as you would normally.
Good luck to your fantasy teams!  Now, on to what we all came here for, the Two-Start Pitchers!

Of course, if you have any pitching questions, don’t hesitate to email me with them at  Also, don’t forget to check out Mick’s Fantasy Podcast! It goes hand-in-hand with this article!

NOTE:  These starts are not set in stone. They can change for any variety  of  reasons: managerial moves, injuries, rain-outs, etc. Please keep  in mind  they are probable.
