Two Start Pitchers :: Week 19

 Heading into Week 19, we’ve got one minor Injury Watch to talk about. For this we make our way to the desert where the Arizona Diamondbacks' Joe Saunders is dealing with a sore left thumb. Saunders injured the thumb during his last start trying to make a barehanded grab on a groundball in a 5-2 loss to the Cardinals. He has a bullpen session scheduled for Saturday and is confident he'll be able to make his next start. On a side note, Saunders has quietly had a decent season. He's only 6-9 with a 3.70 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. However, he's thrown a quality start in 8 of his last 10 outings going back to June. Provided there are no setbacks on Saturday during his bullpen session, Saunders will look to make it 9 of 11 on Monday against the Marlins. He makes a Keep in Mind option in most standard leagues.
