Roger Clemens story keeps getting better and better. The Big Skirt ends up in Oakland. Phil Hughes is on the DL and Hank Steinbrenner wants him a warm cup of Joba. Enough wordplay, on to ...
Baked Zito - Barry Zito will be sliding in to the bullpen for the time being, making him a relatively well paid long relief man. The Giants have decided that Zito should work on his problems out of the pen. I don't know how the pen is going to add 5-6 miles per hour back on to his fast ball and add location, but if that what the team feels will help then so be it. In reality, Zito seems to be trying too hard to live up to the absurd money he was given. It's not his fault there was a team stupid enough.....

FPM's Über member Surge: "My goal is to give as much advice as possible this season to teams hoping to take home their league trophies. Everything stated unless otherwise noted is obviously an opinion (pretty much everything that isn't a number), and everybody has one. | Fantasy Baseball Mailbag |
Welcome, my loving readers, to Volume 4 of FPM Mailbag. Not too many emails this week, but that is alright. I have decided to fill in with a little about the way I spent the 3 opening days. Let me just tell you, baseball needs to get their stuff together and condense this down. OK that is my last dig at my beloved sport of hockey. So without further ado, let the games begin.

| 2 Start Pitchers |
We're about to close the books on the first two months of the season. The big news this week comes to us from Anaheim (or is it Los Angeles?). John Lackey is scheduled to make his first start of the season this Wednesday (5/14). He's also slated to be a two-start pitcher for Week 8. Keep a close eye on how he pitches Wednesday at home against the White Sox. As long as he pitches effectively and has no setbacks, he makes an advisable option this week. I have two emails this week, so without further ado...
Robert in Littleton, CO writes: Do I drop Felix Hernandez? This guy is terrible right now and is killing my WHIP. My options on the waiver wire are Scott Olsen, Gavin Floyd, Justin Verlander, Ted Lilly, and that's about it.... Read More |
