Mick's Picks :: Week 15

Matt Flynn, QB, GB (@NE) FPM Spin: Aaron Rodgers has yet to be cleared to play this week meaning Flynn could be in line to get the start. The Packers head to New England this week to face a red hot Patriots team. However, despite how well they're playing, the Patriots are ranked 31st in the league in pass defense. Flynn has also been taking most of the snaps at practice with the first team this week, so he should have better timing with his receivers than he did last week at Detroit. Of course, this is all provided he starts. Obviously, if Rodgers is able to go, this all goes out the window. Considering there are several leagues out there that start their playoffs this week, chances are you won't be using Flynn anyway unless you're desperate, own Rodgers in a deep league or are just playing for pride.
Season Stats - 182 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Rashad Jennings, RB, JAC (@ IND)
FPM Spin: Jennings has played well as of late gaining at least 44 yards and a touchdown each of the last three weeks. Maurice Jones-Drew is still the feature back in Jacksonville, but Jennings has made the most of his opportunities when he gives Jones-Drew a breather. The Jaguars also have two very favorable match-ups coming up this week at Indianapolis and next week against Washington. Both of those teams are in the bottom 5 in rush defense. Plus, MJD is dealing with a slight knee injury so Jennings could get an increased role in the offense as the Jags might opt to sit Jones-Drew a bit more than normal to keep him healthy for the playoffs. Jennings is definitely worth stashing for insurance purposes if you own MJD and could be a decent flex option in deeper leagues. Season Stats - 44 carries, 306 yards, 3 TD
Bo Scaife, TE, TEN (vs. HOU) FPM Spin: Scaife had his most productive quarter of the season last week catching 4 balls for 20 yards and two touchdowns in the 4th quarter of last week's game against the Colts. Scaife seems to have developed into Kerry Collins' favorite target in the red zone. Unfortunately, outside of the red zone, Scaife isn't a huge part of the offense, so his fantasy value primarily comes from getting in the end zone. He's kind of like the poor man's Marcedes Lewis. The Titans face a Texans pass defense this week that's the worst in the league, so there could be some opportunities for Scaife to score. You don't want to get cute this time of year, but if you're desperate and don't have a solid option at tight end because of the plethora of injuries at the position (Finley, Clark, Gates, Zach Miller, Heath Miller, Heap) Scaife could be worth a start.
Season Stats - 36 receptions, 318 yards, 4 TD
HONORABLE MENTIONSBrodie Croyle, QB, KC: There's a chance he could get the start again this week. However, Croyle should only be owned in incredibly deep leagues or if you're incredibly desperate at quarterback. That's quite the rousing endorsement, eh?
Rex Grossman, QB, WAS: The Redskins have made it no secret they're willing to make a change at quarterback if Donovan McNabb struggles. If you're in a deep league and/or relying on McNabb the rest of the way, Grossman might be worth stashing for insurance reasons.
John Skelton, QB, ARI: Skelton gets the start again this week against the Panthers. There's really no reason to get too excited here. If you're really desperate at quarterback, and I mean really desperate, Skelton could be worth a shot in the dark if you're just playing for pride.
